On December 12, 2019, the California Air Resources Board (“CARB”), along with representatives from seven other states and the District of Columbia, signed a Statement of Intent.  The Statement of Intent committed all parties to the agreement to develop a multi-state memorandum of understanding to support and accelerate the deployment of medium- and heavy-duty Zero Emission Vehicles (“ZMV”) through a collaborative process. CARB is expected to consider regulations for adoption on this topic in 2020.
