Ryan works closely with clients on a diverse range of issues. His practice includes representing and advising clients on issues involving renewable energy, land use, oil and gas, and retail cannabis. Ryan’s experience allows him to represent clients in all aspects of litigation and administrative hearings.

Experience

Represented clients in all aspects of litigation involving contractual disputes;

Researched and drafted memoranda on various complex issues relating to land use, water rights, public works projects, energy, and oil and gas, and laws governing state agencies and municipalities;

Assisted clients in obtaining and enforcing rights-of-way and easements;

Conducted title examinations and drafted title opinions;

Co-authored a published research paper on the ethical duties of in-house counsel;

Conducted extensive research and assisted in drafting a legislative bill and regulations relating to the cannabis industry;

Counseled clients in matters before the California Public Utilities Commission, California ISO, and Local Agency Formation Commissions.
