Jerry Brown

Governor Brown was just interested in geology…

The Associated Press found state records disclosing Brown requested state workers at DOGGR research the geology at his family’s property to look for “potential for future oil and gas activity” there. DOGGR employees produced a 51-page historical report and geological assessment, and a personalized satellite-image geological and oil and gas drilling map for the area around Brown’s family ranch near Williams, California. California Gov. Jerry Brown (D) said he asked state oil regulators to map and research his family ranch because he was just interested in the geology of the land. Brown spokesman Gareth Lacy said Brown was not looking for information about drilling prospects on the property near Williams.

The Center for Biological Diversity attacked Brown yesterday for using state workers as his “own private oil prospecting team.” (http://www.charlotteobserver.com/news/politics-government/article43258428.html)
